Yoga

Yoga has helped me become more embodied, teaching me to intuitively honor my body while connecting mind, body, and spirit. The practice, meaning “to yoke,” fosters compassion, community, and the beauty of being present through breath. I especially love yoga for holding space for stillness, discomfort, and deep healing, connecting us to our bodies and releasing past traumas.

As a teacher, I guide students in practicing self-healing, cultivating mindfulness, and experiencing yoga as a dance—a joyful and transformative art. I enjoy sharing yoga with families and young students through Mommy & Me and Kids Yoga classes. I currently teach a weekly class at the Raritan Bay YMCA, serving the Hispanic community of Perth Amboy (Fridays at 5 pm), where I grew up and attended my first in-person yoga class. When needed, I share the practice in Spanish to ensure it’s accessible to everyone in my community. My classes aim to nurture self-awareness, inspire unity, and make yoga playful and inclusive

I am a 240-hour certified yoga instructor, registered with the International Yoga Alliance. I completed my Level 1 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre in Goa, India. My training included yoga asana (postures), anatomy, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, philosophy, Ayurveda and teaching methodology. Additionally, I hold certifications in Level 1 Reiki (Usui Reiki tradition), Yin Yoga Level 1, Creative Sequencing (10 hours), and Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED by the American Red Cross.
